In a recent development, sources close to the situation have revealed that Bayern Munich has tabled an impressive offer exceeding €100 million ($110 million) for the talented striker Harry Kane from Tottenham.

The decision now rests with the 30-year-old footballer, who faces the choice of either departing from Spurs or honoring the remaining year on his contract with the club based in north London.

The negotiations had taken an interesting turn, with Bayern initially setting a deadline for Spurs chairman Daniel Levy to respond to their proposal by midnight last Friday. Despite the pressure, Levy only turned down the offer on Monday. Subsequently, Bayern returned with a revised bid, which is said to have been restructured, featuring modified add-ons and a larger upfront payment.

The acceptance of this offer by Tottenham is driven in part by Kane's reluctance to extend his current £200,000-per-week contract, which is due to expire in 2024. Despite being a pivotal player with a remarkable record of 213 Premier League goals, Kane is driven by a strong desire to secure silverware, as he has yet to claim a championship title with his club or on an international level, despite being recognized as one of the world's premier strikers.

Sources close to the situation have shared that Kane has been appreciative of the positive style of play being introduced by the new head coach, Ange Postecoglou, at Spurs. Kane actively participated in the preseason, even netting four goals in the recent 5-1 victory against Shakhtar Donetsk.

Yet, the allure of joining Bayern is undeniable, considering their remarkable string of 11 consecutive Bundesliga titles and their most recent Champions League victory in 2020, where they notably defeated Spurs with a resounding score of 7-2 during the group stage.

Kane had expressed his desire to have his future settled before the commencement of the Premier League season, which kicks off with Spurs facing Brentford in their opening match on Sunday. The impending decision now hinges on whether Kane envisions his future in England or Germany.

Interestingly, reports from Germany hinted at a potential move, with Kane's wife, Katie Goodland, allegedly spotted in Munich exploring housing options. However, Spurs initially hesitated to let go of their star player, casting doubts on the likelihood of a deal, until a significant breakthrough emerged on Wednesday.
