During his six-season career in the NFL, Patrick Mahomes, the quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs, has already achieved remarkable success, securing two Super Bowl championships and MVP awards. In addition, he made a significant impact in the world of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) back in 2021. Now, Mahomes is reentering the NFT space with his brand, the Museum of Mahomes, and has plans for an upcoming release.

Scheduled for a debut in September, the Museum of Mahomes will unveil new collectibles in the form of NFTs, drawing inspiration from the renowned Chiefs star. Some of these NFTs will come with real-world perks, such as physical trading cards, autographed jerseys, footballs, and more.

According to a spokesperson, the upcoming collection titled "Museum of Mahomes II" will consist of 15,000 NFTs that showcase artwork inspired by Patrick Mahomes' entire NFL career up to the present. The Museum of Mahomes has not disclosed the specific blockchain network on which the NFTs will be minted, nor have they revealed the pricing details for these collectibles.

Following his triumphant victory in the most recent Super Bowl held in February, Patrick Mahomes, the quarterback, delved into the world of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and launched his own collection in March 2021. The initial drop generated an impressive $3.7 million in sales during the NFT craze's early stages. As a special treat for owners of the original NFTs, they will have the opportunity to acquire physical versions of their collectibles, which will be personally autographed by the MVP himself.

The previous NFT drop in 2021 also utilised the branding "Museum of Mahomes" and took place on the Ethereum-based NFT marketplace and platform, MakersPlace. The project is spearheaded by digital agency D-O-M, which was also involved in the earlier release.

A portion of the proceeds from the sales of these NFTs will be directed to Mahomes' charitable organisation, the 15 and the Mahomies Foundation. The foundation aims to support children in underserved communities through various initiatives.

"I am thrilled to offer physical replicas to holders of the Museum of Mahomes I collection and contribute to positive change in the world through the 15 and the Mahomies Foundation as part of the Museum of Mahomes II release," expressed Mahomes in an official statement.

While Mahomes has embarked on his own NFT journey, he has also been prominently associated with Dapper Labs' NFL All Day. In his capacity as an official spokesperson, he played a significant role when the digital collectibles platform became accessible to the public in August of the previous year.
