Music artist and performer Calvin "Snoop Dogg" Broadus Jr. continues to extend his footprint into the Web3 realm with his most recent introduction of the Snoop Dogg Passport. This NFT-based pass allows holders exclusive perks and access to content related to his forthcoming concert tour.

Each of these NFT passports is produced on the Ethereum scaling network Arbitrum and is priced at 0.025 ETH, currently equivalent to approximately $43. There is no limit on the supply, and buyers can acquire up to 100 passes in a single transaction.

This "ever-changing digital tour memorabilia" provides access to unseen footage and content from Snoop Dogg's "High School Reunion Tour," which includes fellow hip-hop artists Wiz Khalifa, Too $hort, and Warren G, among others.

Moreover, the NFT will enable access to merchandise sales, concert tickets, and music playlists. Additionally, NFT purchasers will be gifted a piece of "Snoop Selects" digital art, featuring artists such as Terrell Jones, and the anonymous Coldie and Alien Queen.

The NFT release was devised in collaboration with Transient Labs, facilitated by the talent agency WME.

Snoop Dogg commented, "The Passport series allows me to offer my fans a unique opportunity to journey the world with me—this is a first of its kind. I've always been an innovator, and digital merchandise represents the future. I hope other artists observe what I'm doing and continue to evolve in their own ways."

Snoop Dogg is undoubtedly a prominent figure in the Web3 domain, having been engaged in numerous projects over the past couple of years. These include an NFT collectibles venture with the Nyan Cat meme creator, releasing avatars and virtual land via the metaverse game The Sandbox, affiliating with the crypto casino Roobet, among other initiatives.

However, other musicians are also leveraging NFTs linked to concerts and events. For instance, heavy metal band Avenged Sevenfold recently allied with Ticketmaster to initiate an NFT-enabled ticket sales feature, and plan to reward fans who hold their NFTs for purchasing merchandise, attending events, and engaging with the band's content.
