Blockasset Newsletter: 03/04/23

We’re back with another packed newsletter to bring you up to speed on our latest product updates, athlete news and upcoming content.

With UFC 287 on the horizon, our immediate attention turns to Saturday’s show in Miami. A number of Blockasset athletes will be turning out, including Alex Pereira, who defends his Middleweight title in the evening’s main event. Blockasset’s Jorge Masvidal and Gilbert Burns clash in the co-main event, too, whilst Michael Chiesa is booked to compete on the prelim card.

As you may have noticed, our media team has been out in Miami ahead of UFC 287, so look forward to seeing some elite content on our timeline during fight week.

On the subject of new product releases, we shipped another last week… Our token burning platform BLAZE has had an overhaul, with improvements made to UX and the look and feel of the platform. Why not put your $ASSET tokens to good use and get involved in our active raffles and auctions?

Now that our new Block Six and BLAZE platforms are live, our Product Team is focusing on an athlete reward store, NFT marketplace and user profiles, all of which will be going live in the near future.

Turning our attention back to Blockasset athletes, we’d like to congratulate Brendan Loughnane on his victory over Marlon Moraes over the weekend. In his first fight since winning the PFL Featherweight Championship last November, Loughnane claimed a second round KO victory over former UFC title contender, Moraes.

If you haven’t already seen it, you can get a behind-the-scenes look at how Brendan became a PFL World Champion - and millionaire - in our latest Block Access release, which came out on Friday.

In other big athlete news, Smesh Bro. and former UFC hero Darren Till has announced that he is moving into boxing. In a Tweet posted on Saturday, Till revealed that he is already in training, and his first fight will be revealed shortly. Go show our man some support on the tweet below:

Finally, we can also reveal the guests for this Thursday’s ‘Fireside Chat’ Twitter Spaces event. Our host Drikke will be joined by the $1m dollar man and PFL champ, Brendan Loughnane and Michael Landsberger, the COO of our friends Magic Square. Be sure to join us at 6pm BST!
