Additional prizing added to Block Six UFC picks

Ahead of this weekend's UFC Fight Night event in Charlotte, North Carolina, Block Six's prizing structure is getting an overhaul, with four additional rewards being made available for users.

The $10,000 in $BLOCK prize pool remains for any users who successfully predict the outcome of all of Block Six's featured fights. Plus, our recent addition of a $250 in $BLOCK guaranteed 'Performance of the Night' Bonus is still available for the user who gets the most correct picks.

However, from this weekend, an additional four prizes will be distributed for finishing in the top five for predictions each week.

New Block Six prizing structure

$10,000 in $BLOCK - to go to user(s) who successfully predict the outcome of all six featured fights.

$250 in $BLOCK - to go to one guaranteed user who makes the most successful predictions each week (if there is a tie, the 'Performance of the Night' Bonus goes to a random draw between the users with the most predictions that week)

2,500 $ASSET - to be received by each of the second, third, fourth and fifth placed users (again, with a random draw if there are ties for second, third, fourth or fifth place)

Why this is good for $BLOCK

Since launching our new Block Six platform back in March, we have seen some really strong participation and engagement levels, with a lot of new users entering the Blockasset ecosystem (each week we run Block Six, we see a new user participant level of 50% or more).

The profile of these new users is fairly diverse, with new users coming in from a wide range of territories. However, in terms of demographic, the majority of these users are male sports fans, aged between 18-24 and are new to Web3.

By offering more prizes and incentives for users will motivate these new users to download a wallet to receive their $BLOCK and $ASSET rewards, join our Discord community and use their rewards on BLAZE, our new marketplace or our staking platform. This new prizing structure will see up to five new users join our ecosystem through Block Six.

And, with leaderboards and tournament prizes in development, Block Six will continue to grow as a user acquisition tool.

Since launching our new 'Performance of the Night' Bonus, our winning users have made three correct predictions (Song v Simon Fight Night) and four correct predictions (UFC 288), making prizes far more attainable for Block Six users.
